Mark Stengler


Mark Stengler, N.D. is a leading authority on the clinical and physiological uses of natural medicines and biologically active dietary ingredients. A renowned naturopathic doctor, author, and former advisor to Yale University, Dr. Stengler specializes in natural supplements and therapies with the integrated use of conventional medicine. In his La Jolla, California, practice, Mark has had the unique opportunity to present the benefits of both types of medicine.
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Stengler is the author of one of the nation’s most popular natural health newsletters, Bottom Line/Natural Healing. He has authored or co-written 16 books, including two best sellers, The Natural Physician’s Healing Therapies, and Prescription for Natural Cures. He is a frequent contributor to leading health magazines, and a frequent expert commentator on television. He has also worked on two PBS documentaries: 7 Steps to Perfect Health and Supercharge Your Immune System.
Dr. Stengler also teaches what he preaches. He is Associate Clinical Professor at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, has served on the medical advisory committee for the Yale University Complementary Medicine Outcomes Research Project and produced formulations for the world’s largest supplement company.
Dr. Stengler completed premedical studies at Mt. Royal College and the University of Calgary, and graduate-level naturopathic medical school at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. Doctor Mark’s training and degrees include Certification of Homeotherapeutics, Oriental medicine training at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and he is licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in California.
